1 Corinthians 3

'...For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?' (1 Corinthians 3:3)

'Aye, I tell you a secret arh. Yesterday I saw....'
'You know something. Actually hor, so and so is like that one leh...'
'Aiyo, I didn't know he and she is together leh...'
'You know what he did anot? I tell you...'

It's disgusting to see strife, divisions and disunity in the house of God, in the family of God. It's sad to hear gossip and quarreling, to hear of people being jealous and angry with one another. It's disappointing to see a lack of love in the people of God.

Are you gossiping about someone?
Are you being a part of a clique?

Are you causing disunity?

God is glorified when we are united!
Christ is exalted when we are united!
The Holy Spirit is glad when we are united!

We need to be UNITED!

'If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.' (1 Corinthians 3:17)

The temple of God is a place when God dwells. We are called the temple of God because the Holy Spirit lives in us. The temple of God is a holy and righteous place. Our hearts have to be holy and righteous.

When we sin, the Spirit of God is grieved. When we say something unkind, the Spirit of God is upset. When we do or think of something impure and wicked, the Spirit of God is disappointed.

Let's take this moment and examine our hearts.

Are we righteous before God?

Are we holy before God?

Is our heart right before Him?
